Data management

GRYC database contains two types of yeast genomic data:

Our genome annotations

All the genome annotations we produced that are available on GRYC have already been published on INSDC databases. Corresponding accession numbers will be visible on the strain pages.

For each sequenced genome, the corresponding data is associated to a GitLab repository we use to manage the version of our data. Logged users can have an access to a report-issue form on strain, chromosome and locus pages, to report a comment or/and an issue that will automatically create an issue in the corresponding GitLab repository. The aim of this process is to enhance collaborations on annotations and to ease the release of updated versions of our genome annotations. All the amendments will be tracked with the Git versioning system.

Important amendments made on a given annotation will give rise to updates of the version submitted on INSDC databases.

Third part genome annotations

Genomes directly retrieved from public databases are provided without any edition. Issue tracking with GitLab is disabled. All accession numbers will be conserved to facilitate data search between the different databases.
